چکیده

Abstract The valorization of biomass-derived molecules into commodity chemicals is important for the transition to renewable feedstocks. model platform molecule 2,5-dimethylfuran (2,5-dmf) can be converted value-added aromatics such as benzene, toluene, and xylenes (BTX) over zeolite catalysts. To explore role acid site(s) in BTX selectivity, gallium has been isomorphously substituted framework, resulting a Ga-silicate. Compared ZSM-5 counterpart, this modification shows enhanced benzene selectivity well resistance deactivation by coke continuous catalytic performance tests.

Bayberry-like ZnO/MFI zeolite as high performance methanol-to-aromatics catalyst.

Unique bayberry-like MFI zeolites are synthesized through a quasi-solid-state crystallization approach. This hierarchical zeolite structure has a relatively thick shell, densely grown nanocrystals with an ordered packed channel, high mechanical stability, high surface area and a low Si/Al ratio. Its catalytic efficiency for methanol-to-aromatics is significantly higher than that of conventional...

Mesoporous materials with zeolite framework: remarkable effect of the hierarchical structure for retardation of catalyst deactivation.

Hierarchical MFI zeolite was synthesized following a synthesis route using organic-inorganic hybrid surfactants; the resultant zeolite with mesoporous/microporous hierarchical structure exhibited remarkably high resistance to deactivation in catalytic activity of various reactions such as isomerization of 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, cumene cracking, and esterification of benzyl alcohol with hexanoi...

Selective Production of Aromatics from 2-Octanol on Zinc Ion-Exchanged MFI Zeolite Catalysts

The aromatization of 2-octanol derived from castor oil as a byproduct in the formation of sebacic acid was investigated on various zeolite catalysts. Zn ion-exchanged MFI (ZSM-5) zeolites with small silica/alumina ratios and zinc contents of 0.5 to 2.0 wt. % were determined to exhibit good and stable activity for the reaction at 623 to 823 K. The yield of aromatics was 62% at 773 K and the spac...

Crystallographic Structure Determination of MFI-Zeolite Nanosheets

Ultrathin MFI-zeolite nanosheets can be packed on porous supports to create molecular sieve membranes. The nanosheets on porous support reduce morphological damage seen in regular MFIzeolite crystals [1]. MFI-zeolite belongs to pentasil family of zeolites where the periodic building unit (PerBU) is composed of 12 interconnected SiO4 tetrahedral (T12) units of 41m2 (D2d) symmetry [2]. Rotation o...
